Soviet Propoganda Posters...

An incredible collection of soviet propoganda posters. I've just discovered Flickr recently and found it to be an awesome resource. This link is a good place to start!

Two posts in one day!??!

One of the coolest things I've seen in a while. Stitched quicktime panoramas. I've seen stuff like this before used for movie promotion and stuff. But never for real world events like Katrina or the war in Iraq. Check it out:

Through the rough patch...

Yeah...it's been tough this semester. But I made it through. My last day was Friday, and things went pretty well. My head drawgin teacher was never really satisfied with my drawings, but I'm going to post them here all the same! I think I've figured out how to post video, so as soon as I can get my animation done I'll put it up here...

Another head drawing....

Here's another head drawing I did for class. I've got a lot of animation and storyboarding work ta do and no time to work on it cause of my apartment and to move. Well, coffee has helped me out before....

Here's some head drawings I did in class. The one of the old man is unfinished. I think they toned paper technique is pretty fun...but I need to stop making my people look like they just ran through an electrical windstorm...ah well...

My cat is adorable...

So deal with it...

School and life and...uh...where's the weekend?

Yeah so things have been kinda nuts over here in San Fran. The special lady friend should be out here any day and I'm trying to find a place for us to live. In addition school just started (yes I have homework already) and I'm putting in extra hours at the job.

All this and I still have enough sanity to do an in-class drawing...probably one of my better head drawings...looks a little melony in the noggin, but I think it LOOKS more solid that a lot of my other charcoal drawings...

Oh...I posted some sketchbook pages over at concpet art too...here's the link.

more later ;)

Probably the most important post I'll ever make...

http://www.the-underdogs.org/

For those of you unfamiliar with this site, it's a post of all the games that are the creme de la creme...and out of print. So, you loved playing System Shock or Captin Goodnight and wanna have another crack at it.

They got 'em all. And most of them can be downloaded for free via BitTorrent.

Go and be merry.

Great website for animation and inspiration...

This guys stuff is pretty cool. He's got a unique style...kinda like Bill Plympton but a little more refined.

IPod TP holder a little late for xmas...

So, I went to MacWorld last week. I got in free so I decided ta go even thought I don't own a mac. Man, was it silly. A whole expo of useless ipod crap. Here' my favore though. A combo ipod/tp holder. I know I want one...

Also, I've posted a few of my animations from school on my website. Just click on the links and they should download to your computer. The final animation has a little error with black bars flying across the screen (you'll see it) which I should be able to fix when I go back and scan the drawings in. Nothing amazing, but you can see how I'm improving just between last semester and now.

BTW, the final project movie was probably over 500 individual drawings. Here's what the final stack of movies looks like...

New Sounds for New Windows...

I don't normally post news items, but this was really interesting. Turns out the guitarist from King Crimson has been creating the new default sounds for windows vista, the new operating system that's coming out soon. Can't wait to have Thrakattak playing on startup ;).
